“Wildflowers of Oaxaca” is an expression of love. The photos were taken in the beautiful and mystical Oaxaca, Mexico.

My deepest desire is that you allow the light within you to shine forth with the same intensity and beauty as the stunning flowers in this calendar.

The following quote explains my desire to participate in the caring for Mother Earth. “Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was loaned to you by your children.” Ancient Indian Proverb

With this thought in mind I decided to donate 10% of the proceeds of this calendar to reforestation of copal trees in Oaxaca in collaboration with the Rodolfo Morales Foundation. Copal trees are beautiful and strong protectors. They provide the resin used as an incense that I adore and the wood for the fantastical animal carvings of local artisans. More importantly, they provide humidity and oxygen which create clouds that create rain, the essential element of life.
